After 13 played minutes Club Deportivo O IRIXO got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Pastor. Leonardo Romani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salvador Matias, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 18th minute Salvador Matias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Romani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonardo Romani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grigoris Bikakis in the 19th minute of the match. After 19 played minutes Club Deportivo O IRIXO got a freekick which was hit by Hitzeder Palomar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hitzeder Palomar during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Club Deportivo O IRIXO's Hitzeder Palomar got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 24th minute of the match Ole-Einar Nekstad shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leonardo Romani showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 26th minute, Afonso Vasconcelos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leonardo Romani was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Leonardo Romani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Vasconcelos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Belasko Benito kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Lucas Leiva lost his temper 36 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Guido Herrera had in the 38thth minute some difficulties stopping Javier Maroto's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Javier Maroto scored 1-3 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Guido Herrera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 42 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo O IRIXO's goal looked a bit too open when Salvador Matias came free, but Leonardo Romani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonardo Romani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvador Matias in the 43rd minute of play. When the match clock showed 47 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Salvador Matias sped through Club Deportivo O IRIXO's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Leonardo Romani. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Andrei Gil to strike the kick off in the second half. After 55 played minutes SC Farense got a freekick which was hit by Grigoris Bikakis. Club Deportivo O IRIXO's Leonardo Romani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Vasconcelos in the 58th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo O IRIXO's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso Vasconcelos came free, but Leonardo Romani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benedito Cerqueira kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. SC Farense made a substitution. Sabino Telinhos replaced Afonso Vasconcelos. A collision led to SC Farense getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Benedito Cerqueira hit a great ball. Club Deportivo O IRIXO were awarded a corner in the 76th minute after SC Farense's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Javier Maroto took the corner. A collision led to SC Farense getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Salvador Matias hit a great ball. SC Farense's Sabino Telinhos got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Estevão Macedo made in the 84th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Club Deportivo O IRIXO's Hitzeder Palomar. In the 86th minute, SC Farense's Sabino Telinhos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Leonardo Romani. Leonardo Romani yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-6. 89 minutes into the match, SC Farense's goal looked a bit too open when Andrei Gil came free, but Guido Herrera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Club Deportivo O IRIXO's Leonardo Romani played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sabino Telinhos in the 91st minute of play. 94 minutes into the game, Sabino Telinhos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Leonardo Romani. Sabino Telinhos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-7.
