Okanalp Tuncer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ascencio Muñoz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner led Agunnaryd IK's Axel Blomqvist to fire away a dangerous shot which Okanalp Tuncer despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Agunnaryd IK's Åke Spets proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Agunnaryd IK from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Agunnaryd IK booed when FC Basel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolas Sarmento didn't get a good kick on the ball. 狄迪傲 blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Åke Spets having to make a save. In the 30th minute FC Basel were awarded a corner. Wojciech Kostka went to the cornerflag to take it. Okanalp Tuncer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ascencio Muñoz in the 39th minute of play. Agunnaryd IK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Axel Blomqvist in the 42nd minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for 狄迪傲 to strike the kick off in the second half. Okanalp Tuncer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jason Carrillo in the 60th minute. Jakob Näfver's late challenge caught a FC Basel's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
