With a couple of smart ball manuevers Romain Berrewouts in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paul Holmstedt saved FC Pepsi from getting behind. Romain Berrewouts recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paul Holmstedt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Romain Berrewouts's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. In the 16th minute Romain Berrewouts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Holmstedt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Romain Berrewouts in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paul Holmstedt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 46th minute, FC Pepsi's Alf Klint seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Alf Klint the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC Pepsi protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Alf Klint had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee gave Simbo FC a penalty, 48 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Sabri Ravelli, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FC Pepsi's Paul Holmstedt. 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 54thth minute of the game Jakob Siggman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Simbo FC's Mías Khalifa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 58th minute Hubert Ekerot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mías Khalifa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th match minute, FC Pepsi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Archie Culver to maneuver through the defense. Simbo FC's Tincho Palermo was substituted for Romain Berrewouts. After 60 played minutes FC Pepsi got a freekick which was hit by Archie Culver. In the 61stth minute of the game Tincho Palermo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Pepsi's Paul Holmstedt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Tincho Palermo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paul Holmstedt was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. In the 68th minute, Tincho Palermo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Simbo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Mías Khalifa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kanu Kanu in the 74th minute of play. 77 minutes into the game, Simbo FC's Tincho Palermo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Paul Holmstedt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. 84 minutes into the match, Kanu Kanu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mías Khalifa. Simbo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kanu Kanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Pepsi's goalkeeper Paul Holmstedt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mías Khalifa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lv Yuan Kuan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 91 minutes into the match, Tincho Palermo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paul Holmstedt. FC Pepsi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tincho Palermo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Simbo FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
