The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Piotr Majerowicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matt Sciortino in the 7th minute of the match. Floriana Celtics's Richard Lentini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Willard Addison in the 9th minute of play. If Kyle Thake had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th minute of the match Floriana Celtics got a corner. Rozbryzgane Rogale FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Matt Sciortino ran over to the corner to take the kick. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Willard Addison took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Richard Lentini to make any attempt to save it. Olgierd Dawiec's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Piotr Majerowicz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Richard Lentini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Willard Addison, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Rozbryzgane Rogale FC's goal looked a bit too open when Olgierd Dawiec came free, but Piotr Majerowicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kyle Thake took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Piotr Majerowicz. Piotr Majerowicz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Willard Addison who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Richard Lentini when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Richard Lentini stood somewhat misplaced when Willard Addison came free in front of goal and shot 2-1 to the left of him in the 33 minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olgierd Dawiec in the 37th minute of play forced Rozbryzgane Rogale FC's goalkeeper Piotr Majerowicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rozbryzgane Rogale FC's Piotr Majerowicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kyle Thake in the 43rd minute of play. Piotr Majerowicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matt Sciortino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Rozbryzgane Rogale FC defense, Olgierd Dawiec kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Piotr Majerowicz. The Rozbryzgane Rogale FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Piotr Majerowicz should have stopped the shot. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kyle Thake stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Willard Addison in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Richard Lentini saved Floriana Celtics from getting behind. In the 64thth minute of the game Willard Addison who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Floriana Celtics's Richard Lentini was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Richard Lentini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Willard Addison, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raphaël Galtier kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willard Addison in the 69th minute of play forced Floriana Celtics's goalkeeper Richard Lentini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd match minute, Rozbryzgane Rogale FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zhuang Di Yuan to maneuver through the defense. Floriana Celtics's Edward Ellis was substituted for Giorgio Caruana. Richard Lentini came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Rozbryzgane Rogale FC's Willard Addison. But to his dismay, Willard Addison quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Willard Addison blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Richard Lentini having to make a save. 83 minutes had been played when some careless play by Floriana Celtics's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mehmet Emin Dalokay was slow to take the kick. During this time Rozbryzgane Rogale FC's players had a chance to rest. Through an outstanding action, after 84 minutes, Piotr Majerowicz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Willard Addison might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Richard Lentini. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Willard Addison ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Willard Addison in the 86th minute of play forced Floriana Celtics's goalkeeper Richard Lentini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Willard Addison in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Richard Lentini saved Floriana Celtics from getting behind. In the 96th minute, Lucjan Resel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Matt Sciortino, 97 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal.
