Lutz Golkes short, quick shot in the 13thth minute got Guaberto Gamus to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Through an outstanding action, after 16 minutes, Guaberto Gamus successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Sergio Ramos was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Bandeca FC's Guaberto Gamus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gary Lineker in the 19th minute of play. Alex Mansilha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Mota in the 29th minute of play forced Academica Pulheim's goalkeeper Paul Heyckendorf to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 29th minute Igor Mota shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Heyckendorf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Academica Pulheim getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Alex Mansilha hit a great ball. Bandeca FC's Guaberto Gamus proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Bandeca FC from getting a goal against them. With his leg Guaberto Gamus managed to avoid a goal in the 35thth minute, when Academica Pulheim's Lutz Golke fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 41 minutes into the game, Hunor Adam was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bandeca FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Academica Pulheim the free kick. In the 41st match minute, Bandeca FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hunor Adam to maneuver through the defense. After 47 played minutes Alex Mansilha rounded Bandeca FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alex Mansilha made a kick off. Guaberto Gamus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Mansilha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guaberto Gamus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joachim Kretschmer in the 56th minute of the match. In the 57th minute Academica Pulheim were awarded a corner. Alex Mansilha went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Joachim Kretschmer heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Bandeca FC made a substitution. Luiz Gustavo Couto replaced Tiago Ortiz. Academica Pulheim made a substitution. Maxime Vrints replaced Lutz Golke. Guaberto Gamus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Mansilha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alex Mansilha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guaberto Gamus having to interfere. Guaberto Gamus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zbigniew Setara, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 69th minute Joachim Kretschmer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guaberto Gamus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Zbigniew Setara's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guaberto Gamus was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Guaberto Gamus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maxime Vrints, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 96th minute, Zbigniew Setara ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guaberto Gamus was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. There was no doubt that Academica Pulheim were the better team. Academica Pulheim's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
