The Campus Douro Academy fans' excitement grew in the 11th match minute when Campus Douro Academy's Vedat Burçhan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 15 played minutes, Campus Douro Academy's Idalécio Rebelo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sertel Adıvar came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Campus Douro Academy reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vedat Burçhan in the 16th minute of play forced Poppy FC's goalkeeper Sertel Adıvar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sertel Adıvar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vedat Burçhan's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. In the 36thth minute of the game Vedat Burçhan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Poppy FC's Sertel Adıvar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Vedat Burçhan sped through Poppy FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sertel Adıvar. Vedat Burçhan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sertel Adıvar having to interfere. Sertel Adıvar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vedat Burçhan in the 46th minute of the match. In the 47th minute, Rodolfo Montay made a precise shot to the right of Sertel Adıvar. Poppy FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Qu Ling Lin to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 57 minutes, Rodolfo Montay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Campus Douro Academy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodolfo Montay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 61 minutes, the score became 0-6 when Vedat Burçhan sped through Poppy FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sertel Adıvar. Steevy Cheret received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Eliseu Bragança tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 67 minutes into the match, Poppy FC's goalkeeper Sertel Adıvar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vedat Burçhan. After some careless play in the Campus Douro Academy defense, Qu Ling Lin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eliseu Bragança. The Campus Douro Academy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eliseu Bragança should have stopped the shot. In the 71st minute Vedat Burçhan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sertel Adıvar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Campus Douro Academy's Rodolfo Linhares was substituted for Zeferino Pimentel. Campus Douro Academy made a substitution. Alfredo Lemos replaced Sálvio Baldaia. Campus Douro Academy were awarded a corner in the 75th minute after Poppy FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. André Pestana took the corner. After taking down the ball on Campus Douro Academy's corner André Pestana fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sertel Adıvar quite easily take care of the ball. The supporters of Campus Douro Academy booed when Poppy FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egemen Orguntay didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eliseu Bragança made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Qu Ling Lin in the 87th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steevy Cheret in the 89th minute of play forced Campus Douro Academy's goalkeeper Eliseu Bragança to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute, Steevy Cheret hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sertel Adıvar was out of position in the 96 minute of play, and Vedat Burçhan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Vedat Burçhan really showed his touch with that goal: 1-7. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Campus Douro Academy eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
