In the 10thth minute of the game Laércio Penha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C.A.P.J.'s Saturnino Sol was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 13 played minutes C.A.P.J. got a freekick which was hit by Şakir Aydoğdu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serafin Criston in the 15th minute of play forced Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goalkeeper Mickaël Maris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute Nova Iguaçu MZFC were awarded a corner. Tomás Mazza went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Di Yang Lei heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Nery Dominguez managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Şakir Aydoğdu in the 23 minute of the game. But to his dismay, Laércio Penha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 35 minutes into the match, C.A.P.J.'s goal looked a bit too open when Laércio Penha came free, but Saturnino Sol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Saturnino Sol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laércio Penha in the 37th minute of play. In the 39thth minute of the game Laércio Penha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C.A.P.J.'s Saturnino Sol was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomás Mazza in the 40th minute. The corner led to Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Manfredo Vale getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 44th minute, Laércio Penha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Saturnino Sol made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Serafin Criston was the one to do the kick off. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Mickaël Maris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rene Atarrabi in the 55th minute of play. The corner led C.A.P.J.'s Nicodim Alecu to fire away a dangerous shot which Mickaël Maris despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Laércio Penha got free with Saturnino Sol in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Laércio Penha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Saturnino Sol made a huge save.
