The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Orain Ambrosio threw the ball into play from the sideline. Atlético Grau Piura's Francisco Conceicão quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Fabian Oterino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ruy Berger having to make a save. Through an outstanding action, after 4 minutes, Ruy Berger successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Tartalo Delatorre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richie Ason in the 8th minute of the match. Tartalo Delatorre stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfredo Tomasini's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabian Oterino in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ruy Berger saved ALIANZA 1901 from getting behind. Fabian Oterino struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Ruy Berger didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético Grau Piura. Tartalo Delatorre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Escobar in the 17th minute of the match. Fabian Oterino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ruy Berger having to make a save. 20 minutes into the match, ALIANZA 1901's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Oterino came free, but Ruy Berger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tartalo Delatorre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richie Ason, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Escobar in the 25th minute of play forced Atlético Grau Piura's goalkeeper Tartalo Delatorre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Orain Ambrosio in the 29th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Atlético Grau Piura's Federico Moura. 29 minutes into the match, Atlético Grau Piura's Fabian Oterino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ruy Berger narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tartalo Delatorre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Escobar in the 33rd minute of the match. Ruy Berger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabian Oterino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Atlético Grau Piura's Tartalo Delatorre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Tomasini in the 37th minute of play. Fabian Oterino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Ruy Berger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabian Oterino in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ruy Berger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ruy Berger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Oterino in the 47th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alfredo Tomasini to make the kick off. In the 53rdth minute of the game Fabian Oterino who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ALIANZA 1901's Ruy Berger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tartalo Delatorre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richie Ason, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. If Luis Escobar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 63 minutes into the match, Atlético Grau Piura's goal looked a bit too open when Richie Ason came free, but Tartalo Delatorre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Hulk Ulaş hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Tomasini in the 65th minute of play forced Atlético Grau Piura's goalkeeper Tartalo Delatorre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute ALIANZA 1901 were awarded a corner. Pancho Tabernilla went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 69th minute Fabian Oterino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruy Berger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Atlético Grau Piura booed when ALIANZA 1901 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orain Ambrosio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Atlético Grau Piura made a substitution. Junior Quintana replaced Fabian Oterino. Orain Ambrosio kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. 76 minutes into the game, Junior Quintana cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Ruy Berger was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Zuzen Bricianos kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 81st minute of the match Pancho Tabernilla shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tartalo Delatorre showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Atlético Grau Piura's Junior Quintana sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ruy Berger narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Junior Quintana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 92 played minutes Atlético Grau Piura got a freekick which was hit by Ignado Ozores. Tartalo Delatorre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richie Ason in the 94th minute of play. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
