Juan Benavides made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Nicolae Creangă sent off a good shot on target. Mané Netto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Humberto Escobar in the 13th minute of the match. Mané Netto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Humberto Escobar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juan Benavides made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ľubomír Demský in the 21st minute of play. Milosz Gabis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mané Netto having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Gustafson in the 25th minute of play forced Hising Island FC's goalkeeper Mané Netto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The ►Las Mercedes F.C◄ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juan Benavides should have stopped the shot. ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 38th minute, when Anthon Finman scored to the left of an out of position Juan Benavides, making the score, 2-0. ►Las Mercedes F.C◄'s Humberto Escobar got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The wind increased when Humberto Escobar made the kick off in the second half. If Chiquinho Quirino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ľubomír Demský came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Hising Island FC fans jumped to their feet.
