Uwe Ziege showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jamar Vang in the 8th minute of the match. Uwe Ziege was out of position in the 11 minute of play, and Jamar Vang capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jamar Vang really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 14th minute Anestis Kotsopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matheus Toscano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Uwe Ziege made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Snir Nachum in the 15th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Octavian Basten's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Matheus Toscano was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Jamar Vang's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Uwe Ziege read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, G.R.'s Yefet Bar-Zohar got a free kick in the 31st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mesut Özil in the 36th minute of play forced G.R.'s goalkeeper Matheus Toscano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37thth minute of the game Jamar Vang who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rot-Weiss-Essen's Uwe Ziege was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Calvin Strohmayer notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Rot-Weiss-Essen's Uwe Ziege. Uwe Ziege was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

Matheus Toscano was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Octavian Basten showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 51 minute of play. The audience was convinced that Calvin Strohmayer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Uwe Ziege was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. In the 67th minute, Rot-Weiss-Essen's Mesut Özil ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Matheus Toscano. Matheus Toscano yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-6. With a little luck, G.R.'s Matheus Toscano got control of the ball when Hugo Haupt tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 73rd minute of the match Rot-Weiss-Essen got a corner. G.R.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Maximilian Henning ran over to the corner to take the kick. 76 minutes into the match, G.R.'s goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Haupt came free, but Matheus Toscano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matheus Toscano made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Mesut Özil sent off a good shot on target. Anestis Kotsopoulos hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Uwe Ziege stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jamar Vang's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. With a little luck, G.R.'s Matheus Toscano got control of the ball when Hugo Haupt tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zion Mauda kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hugo Haupt got free with Matheus Toscano in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rot-Weiss-Essen's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Maximilian Henning in the 90th minute. After taking down the ball on Rot-Weiss-Essen's corner Maximilian Henning fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Matheus Toscano quite easily take care of the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Calvin Strohmayer notched a goal, 3-6, to the right of Rot-Weiss-Essen's Uwe Ziege. Uwe Ziege was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the final whistle sounded Rot-Weiss-Essen left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than G.R..
