In the 17th minute, Primitivo Grau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the match, Jiang Cheng Peng dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ivan Chiuzbaian, 1-1. 23 minutes into the match, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Primitivo Grau sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Horacio Zarricueta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 31st minute Emil Wielopolski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horacio Zarricueta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petre Iftode in the 44th minute of play forced Shymkent Camels's goalkeeper Horacio Zarricueta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The wind increased when Christer Johnsson made the kick off in the second half. Ivan Chiuzbaian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christer Johnsson in the 55th minute of play. 61 minutes had been played when some careless play by Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Christer Johnsson was slow to take the kick. During this time Shymkent Camels's players had a chance to rest. Shymkent Camels's Christer Johnsson was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ivan Chiuzbaian in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Ivan Chiuzbaian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christer Johnsson in the 63rd minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, Shymkent Camels's goalkeeper Horacio Zarricueta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zhao Sen Yang. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zhao Sen Yang in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Horacio Zarricueta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Cătălin Tudoran was substituted for Grigore Maghiran.
