Filomeno Marko who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Leopoldo Lastur when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Mário Súľovský showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaspar Sabin in the 18th minute of the match. Estudiantes de La Plata's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gilberto Orlondo in the 23rd minute. In the 26thth minute of the game Martin Asier who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Estudiantes de La Plata's Mário Súľovský was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Leopoldo Lastur. 44 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de La Plata's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Asier came free, but Mário Súľovský reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
