Roberto Bonano made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Edgard Elssen sent off a good shot on target. After 28 played minutes Drafi got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Jesus. A collision led to Drafi getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Soulis Felegakis hit a great ball. In the 33rd minute of the match Cesar Egun sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Manolis Ntouvaris skillfully saved the ball. If Werner Barz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roberto Bonano made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Daniel Malinovský sent off a good shot on target. Claudio Busillo kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chatziioannou Stavrakos to make the kick off. Roberto Bonano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Botasso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Deportivo Pergamino had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
