But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eder Lopes couldn't finish the play. In the 13th minute Ionel Bălăiță shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Irinel Soneriu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute of the match, Mario Boulier tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Irinel Soneriu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Mauro Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octav Romaşcanu in the 44th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eder Lopes to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Sabadim Harammes PRD were awarded a corner. Ionel Bălăiță charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ionel Bălăiță the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
