Agus Young in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 4th minute, Hernan Louis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 1-0 became the score in the 6th minute when Octav Romaşcanu elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andrei Joita during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 10th minute, Andrei Joita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 10 played minutes, Santa Lucia de Merlo's Levan Poggenborg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Irinel Soneriu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Santa Lucia de Merlo reached it. In the 12th minute M. Agus Young shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Irinel Soneriu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th minute, Octav Romaşcanu made a precise shot to the right of Norberto Tino. Santa Lucia de Merlo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Irinel Soneriu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from M. Agus Young went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Santa Lucia de Merlo were awarded a corner in the 25th minute after FC Lutanu's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Levan Poggenborg took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in M. Agus Young heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Irinel Soneriu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from M. Agus Young, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. M. Agus Young's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Irinel Soneriu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. In the 33rd minute Santa Lucia de Merlo were awarded a corner. Levan Poggenborg went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Santa Lucia de Merlo's corner Levan Poggenborg fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Irinel Soneriu quite easily take care of the ball. Norberto Tino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octav Romaşcanu in the 34th minute of the match. The corner led FC Lutanu's Ilie Cazacu to fire away a dangerous shot which Norberto Tino despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a rather tough play, Santa Lucia de Merlo's M. Agus Young got a free kick in the 38th minute. FC Lutanu:s Irinel Soneriu showed great skill when he stopped M. Agus Young:s penalty. 44 minutes into the match, M. Agus Young notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of FC Lutanu's Irinel Soneriu. Irinel Soneriu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Levan Poggenborg kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Santa Lucia de Merlo's Norberto Tino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octav Romaşcanu in the 57th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Santa Lucia de Merlo's M. Agus Young sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Irinel Soneriu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Irinel Soneriu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from M. Agus Young went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Santa Lucia de Merlo made a substitution. Polo Quinteros replaced M. Agus Young. Irinel Soneriu was out of position in the 72 minute of play, and Polo Quinteros capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Polo Quinteros really showed his touch with that goal: 2-4. If Polo Quinteros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 77th minute Polo Quinteros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Irinel Soneriu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC Lutanu's Șerban Negulici got a free kick in the 84th minute. Polo Quinteros might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Irinel Soneriu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Polo Quinteros ran back to his position shaking his head. 87 minutes into the match, Santa Lucia de Merlo's Polo Quinteros sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Irinel Soneriu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
