With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cătălin Gârniceanu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edgard Cabral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 19 minutes into the match, Goiás Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Ekrem Tapa came free, but Mané Quirino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mané Quirino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ekrem Tapa in the 20th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Goiás Esporte Clube's zone, Zamir Osja stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mané Quirino came out of the goal and Zamir Osja tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benigno Ixona struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Cătălin Gârniceanu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Goiás Esporte Clube. Edgard Cabral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Cătălin Gârniceanu made a huge save. Lucio Claus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Eagle FC's Ymer Memelli got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Cătălin Gârniceanu made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Edgard Cabral sent off a good shot on target. Mané Quirino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucio Claus, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute.
