In the 14th match minute, The Green Fairies was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Per-Erik Juhlin to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of The Green Fairies booed when Madison was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benito Naldo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind The Green Fairies's goalkeeper Harald Fridlund, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Folke Skoglund came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the The Green Fairies fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Folke Skoglund couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Benito Naldo was the one to do the kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Benito Naldo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but The Green Fairies's Harald Fridlund was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Vincent Mossberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brahim Boutabout hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. When Leonardo Lindholm came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the The Green Fairies fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonardo Lindholm couldn't finish the play. When Madison's Benito Naldo in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The audience was convinced that Ás Ronaldo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Harald Fridlund was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. 83 minutes into the match, Leonardo Lindholm notched a goal, 5-1, to the right of Madison's Ernesto Emmanuel. Ernesto Emmanuel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Benito Naldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Harald Fridlund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benito Naldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. After 88th play minutes Benito Naldo shot 6-1, a short shot which went by Harald Fridlund and just under the crossbar into goal. Madison's Benito Naldo got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Madison fans cheered their team off the field, for while The Green Fairies had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
