A very good chance. 6 minutes into the match, Anversa Club's goal looked a bit too open when Jairo Baraquiel came free, but Waut Van Der Meeren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Jairo Baraquiel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Waut Van Der Meeren was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. Waut Van Der Meeren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jairo Baraquiel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anversa Club's Waut Van Der Meeren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Baraquiel in the 20th minute of play. Lawrence Lawless showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio García, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 33 minutes into the match, Descamisados CF's Anselmo Thomas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Waut Van Der Meeren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Waut Van Der Meeren didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jairo Baraquiel went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Descamisados CF were awarded a corner in the 44th minute after Anversa Club's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fabian Plaski took the corner. After 46 played minutes Anversa Club got a freekick which was hit by Mickael De Winter. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Lawrence Lawless made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicu Vornicu in the 51st minute of play. In the 56th minute, Descamisados CF's Jairo Baraquiel ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Waut Van Der Meeren. Waut Van Der Meeren yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Jairo Baraquiel came free with the goalkeeper in the 59th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Waut Van Der Meeren could save by the left post. After some careless play in the Descamisados CF defense, Claudio García kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lawrence Lawless. The Descamisados CF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lawrence Lawless should have stopped the shot. Descamisados CF's Adrian Txartiko was substituted for Jairo Baraquiel. Descamisados CF's Celestino Artaldo was substituted for Anselmo Thomas. In the 70th minute Adrian Txartiko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waut Van Der Meeren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Waut Van Der Meeren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ludomir Kaider in the 73rd minute. With a little luck, Anversa Club's Waut Van Der Meeren got control of the ball when Ludomir Kaider tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabian Plaski got free with Waut Van Der Meeren in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 88 minutes into the match, Anversa Club's goalkeeper Waut Van Der Meeren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adrian Txartiko. In the 89th minute Adrian Txartiko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waut Van Der Meeren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Descamisados CF defense, Winarto Songgonau kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lawrence Lawless. The Descamisados CF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lawrence Lawless should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Adrian Txartiko managed to get in a good position for a shot. Descamisados CF's supporters rose to their feet, but Adrian Txartiko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Waut Van Der Meeren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 94 minutes into the game, Celestino Artaldo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-4. Waut Van Der Meeren was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
