Søren Malman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anaia Barba in the 3rd minute of play. Søren Malman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anaia Barba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Victory F.C.'s Moses Vesterlyng got a free kick in the 13th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Victory F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Anaia Barba came free, but Søren Malman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Søren Malman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldinho Romero in the 23rd minute of play. Mexilhão F. C.'s Intxixu Porregimon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claus Skoubo in the 27th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Germano Pernambucano in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Søren Malman saved Victory F.C. from getting behind. The supporters of Victory F.C. booed when Mexilhão F. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arthur dos Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Victory F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Anaia Barba came free, but Søren Malman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Victory F.C.'s Claus Skoubo got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 38 minutes, Moses Vesterlyng mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Victory F.C. and the Mexilhão F. C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 38 played minutes Victory F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Moses Vesterlyng. Bill Hadders charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bill Hadders the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Søren Malman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldinho Romero, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Abel de Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Søren Malman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 80th match minute, Mexilhão F. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto Félix to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kurd Thiemer in the 84th minute of play forced Mexilhão F. C.'s goalkeeper Intxixu Porregimon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Victory F.C.'s Søren Malman got control of the ball when Germano Pernambucano tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 95th minute, Mexilhão F. C.'s Abel de Lara ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Søren Malman. Søren Malman yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. Victory F.C. made a substitution. Haakon Bindsted replaced Kurd Thiemer. The Victory F.C. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mexilhão F. C. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
