After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Carlos Casemiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. E.C. Água Santa's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Casemiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miroslaw Gollob breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When E.C. Jurand Cempa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fernandez Gøl read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jurand Cempa got free with Fernandez Gøl in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Zacisze Częstochowa getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Damaso Alonso hit a great ball. Jurand Cempa in the 43rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fernandez Gøl, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Gafur Balkanlıoğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After a rather tough play, Zacisze Częstochowa's Cyprian Kloczko got a free kick in the 50th minute. After having played for 53 minutes, Jurand Cempa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zacisze Częstochowa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jurand Cempa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jurand Cempa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernandez Gøl having to interfere. The throw-in from Gonzalo Firme in the 67th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by E.C. Água Santa's Valdomiro Rosado. A collision led to E.C. Água Santa getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. John Seah hit a great ball. John Seah hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 72nd minute of the match Gonzalo Firme sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fernandez Gøl skillfully saved the ball. Zacisze Częstochowa's Miroslaw Gollob played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gafur Balkanlıoğlu in the 76th minute of play. E.C. Água Santa's Frank da Rocha was substituted for Valdomiro Rosado. Gafur Balkanlıoğlu might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Miroslaw Gollob. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gafur Balkanlıoğlu ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 88th minute Gafur Balkanlıoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miroslaw Gollob saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the E.C. Água Santa players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Zacisze Częstochowa.
