Angelo Melani stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gilson Damião's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Whitypool United's zone, Gilson Damião stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angelo Melani came out of the goal and Gilson Damião tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 31 minutes into the match, Gilson Damião dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Angelo Melani, 3-0. The supporters of Whitypool United booed when Caldo de Gallina Ranchero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Veto Lampez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Whitypool United's goalkeeper Angelo Melani, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gilson Damião struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Angelo Melani didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caldo de Gallina Ranchero. 45 minutes into the game, Gilson Damião cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Angelo Melani was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Charis Vlastaras was the one to do the kick off. Xose Valtierra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waclaw Kaczanek in the 52nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Syd Ely could shoot a difficult shot in the 73rd minute, which Xose Valtierra however easily saved by the left post. Veto Lampez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gilson Damião blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Angelo Melani having to make a save. A collision led to Whitypool United getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Colin Carr hit a great ball. Gilson Damião sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gilson Damião might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Angelo Melani. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gilson Damião ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Angel Rodrigo during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Xose Valtierra made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Charis Vlastaras sent off a good shot on target. When Fraser Barkley came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Whitypool United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fraser Barkley couldn't finish the play.
