After a defensive mix-up in Duendes Verdes's zone, Hernán Leandro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mateo Santana came out of the goal and Hernán Leandro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dario Hussain had several of the Duendes Verdes's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 18 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-0 score and a disappointed Mateo Santana as he didn't even see the shot coming. Duendes Verdes's Mateo Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaafar Carrillo in the 20th minute of play. Dario Hussain in the 23rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mateo Santana, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience was convinced that Dario Hussain's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mateo Santana was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gaafar Carrillo in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mateo Santana saved Duendes Verdes from getting behind. Dario Hussain's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mateo Santana read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Dario Hussain ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mateo Santana was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dario Hussain got free with Mateo Santana in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Leon Platense's Dario Hussain in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Duendes Verdes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hernán Leandro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 10-0. Mateo Santana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dario Hussain, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. The Leon Platense fans' excitement grew in the 84th match minute when Leon Platense's Dario Hussain looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal.
