But to his dismay, Nedim Emekli quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 14th minute, Agnaldo Braga made a precise shot to the right of Delmiro Rosalio. Set Fire's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. 18 minutes into the game, Mean Machine's Miltos Makris nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Delmiro Rosalio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. In the 22nd minute, Fedele Scirea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Delmiro Rosalio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Miltos Makris went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Delmiro Rosalio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carles Pujol, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 35th minute Miltos Makris shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delmiro Rosalio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mean Machine were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after Set Fire's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nikos Stasinos took the corner. 37 minutes into the game, Carles Pujol cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Delmiro Rosalio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nedim Emekli in the 42nd minute of play forced Set Fire's goalkeeper Delmiro Rosalio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nikos Stasinos hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nedim Emekli was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carles Pujol got free with Delmiro Rosalio in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Delmiro Rosalio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nedim Emekli, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nedim Emekli in the 64th minute of play forced Set Fire's goalkeeper Delmiro Rosalio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nedim Emekli who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 73rdth minute tested the skills of Delmiro Rosalio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nedim Emekli in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Delmiro Rosalio saved Set Fire from getting behind. Tozé Novais made in the 75th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Mean Machine's Daniil Bonoris. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nedim Emekli in the 76th minute of play forced Set Fire's goalkeeper Delmiro Rosalio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Delmiro Rosalio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nedim Emekli in the 78th minute. The corner led Mean Machine's Nikos Stasinos to fire away a dangerous shot which Delmiro Rosalio despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Set Fire's Fedele Scirea sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Menios Chloros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nedim Emekli took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Delmiro Rosalio. Delmiro Rosalio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. Nedim Emekli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Delmiro Rosalio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nedim Emekli went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. In the 95th match minute, Set Fire was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lilian Thuram to maneuver through the defense. Mean Machine's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
