Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 6 minutes into the match, Fala Sério FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wojtek Sokol came free, but Afonsinho Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 10 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Tonton Eren sped through Fala Sério FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Afonsinho Marques. After a rather tough play, Ajax's Arturo Palladino got a free kick in the 14th minute. Kauan Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Gigi Buffon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kauan Santos got free with Gigi Buffon in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Afonsinho Marques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wojtek Sokol in the 21st minute of the match. Arturo Palladino struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Afonsinho Marques didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ajax. 26 minutes into the match, Ajax's Tonton Eren sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Afonsinho Marques narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 32 minutes, Gigi Buffon successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 36 minutes into the match, André Azevedo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gigi Buffon, 1-1. After 38 minutes, Reynaldo Martins mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fala Sério FC and the Ajax players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ajax's Gigi Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Azevedo in the 46th minute of play. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fala Sério FC's goalkeeper Afonsinho Marques, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

The audience was convinced that Tonton Eren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Afonsinho Marques was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. 55 minutes into the match, Fala Sério FC's goalkeeper Afonsinho Marques had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tonton Eren. Ajax's Tonton Eren got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 59thth minute of the game Tonton Eren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fala Sério FC's Afonsinho Marques was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ajax's Gigi Buffon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Azevedo in the 61st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tonton Eren in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Afonsinho Marques prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 64thth minute of the game Tonton Eren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fala Sério FC's Afonsinho Marques was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gigi Buffon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 70th minute of the match, Tonton Eren tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Afonsinho Marques saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a defensive mix-up in Ajax's zone, Pedro Moraes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gigi Buffon came out of the goal and Pedro Moraes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Afonsinho Marques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tonton Eren in the 77th minute of the match. In the 79thth minute of the game Tonton Eren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fala Sério FC's Afonsinho Marques was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gigi Buffon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wanderson Lopez in the 81st minute of the match. Afonsinho Marques made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tonton Eren in the 83rd minute. In the 86th minute Tonton Eren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonsinho Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Pernambucano in the 88th minute of play forced Ajax's goalkeeper Gigi Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Afonsinho Marques stood somewhat misplaced when Tonton Eren came free in front of goal and shot 1-2 to the left of him in the 91 minute. Ajax's Remigiusz Galaska was substituted for Klement Bryk. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ajax walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
