Spectators: 184 (Terracing: 139, Seating: 42, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Kim Bolas took the kick off in the first half of the match. SOUTH THUNDER's Mauro Cordearo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baran Erozan in the 4th minute of play. Mauro Cordearo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kim Bolas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 6th minute Sliema Dragons FC were awarded a corner. Baran Erozan went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Sliema Dragons FC's Baran Erozan to fire away a dangerous shot which Mauro Cordearo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 10 minutes into the game, Kim Bolas recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mauro Cordearo. Kim Bolas showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Kim Bolas sped through SOUTH THUNDER's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mauro Cordearo. Baran Erozan kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Sliema Dragons FC's Leszek Cupial got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to SOUTH THUNDER getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Jeronimo Errapel hit a great ball. 23 minutes into the match, Kim Bolas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mauro Cordearo. SOUTH THUNDER's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kim Bolas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. With his leg Mauro Cordearo managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when Sliema Dragons FC's Kim Bolas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Baran Erozan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Mauro Cordearo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 31 minutes, Kim Bolas made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. SOUTH THUNDER's Mauro Cordearo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Barrie Kerridge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeronimo Errapel in the 35th minute of play. Kim Bolas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauro Cordearo having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Leszek Cupial got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kim Bolas in the 41st minute of play forced SOUTH THUNDER's goalkeeper Mauro Cordearo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mauro Cordearo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kim Bolas in the 44th minute of the match. After 44 minutes of play, Sliema Dragons FC's Kim Bolas made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mauro Cordearo was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jeronimo Errapel was the one to do the kick off. Barrie Kerridge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeronimo Errapel, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 55th minute Kim Bolas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Cordearo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kim Bolas in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mauro Cordearo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Kim Bolas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mauro Cordearo was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. Sliema Dragons FC were awarded a corner in the 68th minute after SOUTH THUNDER's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Baran Erozan took the corner. The corner led Sliema Dragons FC's Pepe Ferreira to fire away a dangerous shot which Mauro Cordearo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 70th minute of the match Sliema Dragons FC got a corner. SOUTH THUNDER's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Baran Erozan ran over to the corner to take the kick. Bonifacio Arias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 74 minutes into the game, Augusto Raymond was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SOUTH THUNDER's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sliema Dragons FC the free kick. Augusto Raymond hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. 76 minutes into the match, Sliema Dragons FC's Baran Erozan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mauro Cordearo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. SOUTH THUNDER's Mauro Cordearo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Mangion in the 78th minute of play. After 80 minutes SOUTH THUNDER's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Baran Erozan who took care of the corner kick. Baran Erozan made a great header on Sliema Dragons FC's corner, it was just that SOUTH THUNDER's Mauro Cordearo managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Procopio in the 82nd minute of play forced Sliema Dragons FC's goalkeeper Barrie Kerridge to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Barrie Kerridge made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Jeronimo Errapel sent off a good shot on target. Mauro Cordearo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dejan Cassar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the SOUTH THUNDER defense, Martin Mangion kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mauro Cordearo. The SOUTH THUNDER fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mauro Cordearo should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dejan Cassar in the 93rd minute of play forced SOUTH THUNDER's goalkeeper Mauro Cordearo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mauro Cordearo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Martin Mangion went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Sliema Dragons FC had won after a very even match.
