In the 16th minute Anselmo Nevada shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorginho Vaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Club Atlético Atlanta's Pankracy Glogowski got control of the ball when Edgard Macedo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Portuguesa's Jorginho Vaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lázaro Cuartio in the 39th minute of play. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alfonso Goicoechea to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anselmo Nevada in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jorginho Vaz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jorginho Vaz made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Alfonso Goicoechea sent off a good shot on target. In the 54th minute of the match, Mugur Chiriac tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jorginho Vaz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If 任浩默 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Portuguesa's Andreas Pirlo got a free kick in the 58th minute. Alfonso Goicoechea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Jorginho Vaz made a huge save. 62 minutes had been played when some careless play by Portuguesa's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ciro Ferdinand was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Atlético Atlanta's players had a chance to rest. A collision led to Portuguesa getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Jano Berger hit a great ball. Portuguesa's Jorginho Vaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eustaquio Jaizki in the 71st minute of play. The supporters of Portuguesa booed when Club Atlético Atlanta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hermengildo Erroman didn't get a good kick on the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's goal looked a bit too open when Holger Zachrisson came free, but Pankracy Glogowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Portuguesa's 任浩默 got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Miguel de Sena hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
