An unexpectedly hard shot by Vlad Enceanu in the 26th minute of play forced Maragassume AD - CIMZ's goalkeeper Cauan de Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 34 minutes Maragassume AD - CIMZ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Elias Navarro who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Maragassume AD - CIMZ's goalie and right to Vlad Enceanu. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Maragassume AD - CIMZ's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. When Darío Pereyra fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maragassume AD - CIMZ's protests and gave Darío Pereyra a yellow card for diving instead. Maragassume AD - CIMZ:s Cauan de Senna showed great skill when he stopped Elias Navarro:s penalty. Maragassume AD - CIMZ made a substitution. Diamantino Neves replaced Sergiu Râznicu. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The San Fernando Eagles fans cheered their team off the field, for while Maragassume AD - CIMZ had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
