The referee ignored Fiume Veneto's protests and gave Bernardo Spano a yellow card for diving instead. When Emilio Esposito came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Fiume Veneto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emilio Esposito couldn't finish the play. In the 25th minute, Emilio Esposito left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fiume Veneto fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Eulalio Jakes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilio Esposito, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Claudio Papetti to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudio Papetti in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eulalio Jakes saved La Ballenera from getting behind. Emilio Esposito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Eulalio Jakes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emilio Esposito could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Eulalio Jakes made a huge save. A collision led to La Ballenera getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Clemente Karlo hit a great ball. 88 minutes into the match, La Ballenera's goalkeeper Eulalio Jakes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enrico Cirone. Eulalio Jakes was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Enrico Cirone showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 95 minute of play. The La Ballenera fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Fiume Veneto were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
