With his leg Bertil Häger managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when FC St. Pauli's Dário Schmidt fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Bertil Häger made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Dário Schmidt sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Lucas Loureiro scored 5-0 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bertil Häger, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 75thth minute of the game Dário Schmidt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hala Madrid Iraki FC's Bertil Häger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Dito Dionísio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bertil Häger. Hala Madrid Iraki FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dito Dionísio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. The Hala Madrid Iraki FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bertil Häger should have stopped the shot. There was no doubt that FC St. Pauli were the better team. FC St. Pauli's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
