The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Patricio Rey Futbol Club. In the 45th minute, Santo Sparks made a precise shot to the right of Benigno Cordeara. Patricio Rey Futbol Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The Patricio Rey Futbol Club players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Golden Hills were winning 0-1.

When the match was over Golden Hills could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Patricio Rey Futbol Club throughout the match.
