The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Artur Boruc made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Evangelista in the 5th minute. After a rather tough play, River Plate.'s Carmelo Omero got a free kick in the 7th minute. 13 minutes into the game, Dariusz Brysz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Mo Chen Yang was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. River Plate.'s Mo Chen Yang played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dariusz Brysz in the 19th minute of play. When Carmelo Omero fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored River Plate.'s protests and gave Carmelo Omero a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FC Devils booed when River Plate. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carmelo Omero didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Dariusz Brysz sped through River Plate.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mo Chen Yang. FC Devils's Artur Boruc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Anselius in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Dariusz Brysz made a precise shot to the right of Mo Chen Yang. River Plate.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. If Dariusz Brysz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Domingo Papo to make the kick off. Dariusz Brysz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Mo Chen Yang made a huge save. Dariusz Brysz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mo Chen Yang read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Dariusz Brysz notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of River Plate.'s Mo Chen Yang. Mo Chen Yang was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Carmelo Omero hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 63rd minute, FC Devils's Dariusz Brysz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. After some careless play in the FC Devils defense, Cristian Evangelista kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Artur Boruc. The FC Devils fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Artur Boruc should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Dariusz Brysz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mo Chen Yang was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. Artur Boruc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Evangelista in the 76th minute of play. In the 79th minute, Dariusz Brysz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mo Chen Yang was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-6. FC Devils's Tobiasz Orszak was substituted for Viktoras Rurin. Dariusz Brysz scored 1-7 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mo Chen Yang, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC Devils eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
