Aston Villa FC's Filiph Hägg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petru Tărău in the 8th minute of play. In the 9th minute of the match A4p FC Gad got a corner. Aston Villa FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luca Penaru ran over to the corner to take the kick. A4p FC Gad's Luca Penaru was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Filiph Hägg in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 15 minutes, Petru Tărău made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Aston Villa FC's Filiph Hägg tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind A4p FC Gad's goalkeeper Olimpiu Târlea, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aston Villa FC were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after A4p FC Gad's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Herbert Kristiansson took the corner. In the 24th minute Merrill Pryor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olimpiu Târlea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olimpiu Târlea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Merrill Pryor, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Petru Tărău in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Filiph Hägg saved Aston Villa FC from getting behind. Remus Chițes kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. In the 33rd minute of the match, Tim Lund got a very nice opportunity to score, but Olimpiu Târlea was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. A4p FC Gad's Olimpiu Târlea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save A4p FC Gad from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice moves Tim Lund could shoot a difficult shot in the 37th minute, which Olimpiu Târlea however easily saved by the left post. 39 minutes into the match, Aston Villa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Codrin Dragalina came free, but Filiph Hägg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Aston Villa FC fans' excitement grew in the 44th match minute when Aston Villa FC's Merrill Pryor looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Petru Tărău was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Petru Tărău got free with Filiph Hägg in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Merrill Pryor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olimpiu Târlea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jörgen Dalkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A4p FC Gad's Iurie Sima was substituted for Matei Filipoiu. A4p FC Gad made a substitution. Lucrețiu Nastac replaced Octavian Odobescu. Olimpiu Târlea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tim Lund in the 66th minute of play. Filiph Hägg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Petru Tărău's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. When A4p FC Gad's Petru Tărău in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Olimpiu Târlea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. 72 minutes into the match, A4p FC Gad's goal looked a bit too open when Merrill Pryor came free, but Olimpiu Târlea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olimpiu Târlea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Forsberg in the 87th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, A4p FC Gad's goal looked a bit too open when Tim Lund came free, but Olimpiu Târlea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute, Merrill Pryor made a precise shot to the right of Olimpiu Târlea. A4p FC Gad's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1.
