Gildo Furtado made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Andaç Adahan sent off a good shot on target. In the 12th minute Andaç Adahan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gildo Furtado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gildo Furtado stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emilio Argina's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. In the 17th minute of the match Hannover Reds got a corner. America FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lei Xiang Rong ran over to the corner to take the kick. Emilio Argina's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Gildo Furtado skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arí Silva in the 21st minute of play forced Hannover Reds's goalkeeper Hartmut Klein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Hannover Reds getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Jörn Hartwig hit a great ball. In the 23rd minute of the match Jonas Dracena sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hartmut Klein skillfully saved the ball. After 25 minutes, Emilio Argina made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. America FC's Gildo Furtado tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Hartmut Klein came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by America FC's Jonas Dracena. But to his dismay, Jonas Dracena quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Andaç Adahan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Gildo Furtado when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 35 minutes into the match, Hannover Reds's goal looked a bit too open when Yuri Lopez came free, but Hartmut Klein reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gildo Furtado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Voss in the 37th minute of play. Gildo Furtado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andaç Adahan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute, Emilio Argina got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arí Silva during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Arí Silva hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emilio Argina was the one to do the kick off. America FC's Gildo Furtado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andaç Adahan in the 52nd minute of play.
