Tonni Bynge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristo Cordara having to interfere. After some careless play in the GÉMINIS DARIÉN F.C. defense, Paulino Bero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Radek Mervart. The GÉMINIS DARIÉN F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Radek Mervart should have stopped the shot. 20 minutes into the match, La Banda del Tinto's Paulino Bero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Radek Mervart narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Radek Mervart took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulino Bero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind GÉMINIS DARIÉN F.C.'s goalkeeper Radek Mervart, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. La Banda del Tinto's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fidel Zárate in the 28th minute. La Banda del Tinto's Fidel Zárate was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Radek Mervart in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristo Cordara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Tonni Bynge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zhuang Zhen to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zhuang Zhen in the 51st minute of play forced La Banda del Tinto's goalkeeper Cristo Cordara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baldomiro Inocente kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Radek Mervart took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulino Bero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Radek Mervart was out of position in the 69 minute of play, and Paulino Bero capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Paulino Bero really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. In the 75th minute Baldomiro Inocente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radek Mervart saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristo Cordara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Jaen, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. When Alberto Jaen came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the GÉMINIS DARIÉN F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Jaen couldn't finish the play. GÉMINIS DARIÉN F.C.'s Francesco Batista was substituted for Wilfredo Henríguez. After a rather tough play, La Banda del Tinto's Wang Shu Guang got a free kick in the 95th minute. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
