Luiz Paulo Alcântara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guga Trancoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luiz Paulo Alcântara came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by PIAUÍ FC's Víktor Santos. But to his dismay, Víktor Santos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Luiz Paulo Alcântara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guga Trancoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Dobsko SSA's goal looked a bit too open when Vladimir de Sena came free, but Luiz Paulo Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Dobsko SSA booed when PIAUÍ FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Batista didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute of the match Artur Gardocki sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Iurie Chiriacescu skillfully saved the ball. In the 35thth minute of the game Guga Trancoso who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dobsko SSA's Luiz Paulo Alcântara was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luiz Paulo Alcântara came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by PIAUÍ FC's Baturhan Oytun. But to his dismay, Baturhan Oytun quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Luiz Paulo Alcântara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimir de Sena in the 41st minute of play. Wasyl Drab charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wasyl Drab the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 45th minute, one of Dobsko SSA:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Dobsko SSA. After the first half PIAUÍ FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 73 played minutes Dobsko SSA got a freekick which was hit by Beniamin Karwowski. In the 74th minute of the match Renato Sá sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luiz Paulo Alcântara skillfully saved the ball. Guga Trancoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 78 minutes Dobsko SSA's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Renato Sá who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Joaquim Ubiña almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Dobsko SSA's Luiz Paulo Alcântara did a great save. PIAUÍ FC's Fernandinho Pena was substituted for Renato Sá. Dobsko SSA's Luiz Paulo Alcântara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Dobsko SSA from getting a goal against them. Vladimir de Sena did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-3 to the left of a surprised Luiz Paulo Alcântara 89 minutes into the match. 91 minutes into the game, PIAUÍ FC's Guga Trancoso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luiz Paulo Alcântara made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Luiz Paulo Alcântara made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vladimir de Sena in the 94th minute. PIAUÍ FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joaquim Ubiña in the 96th minute. In the 96th match minute Joaquim Ubiña ran free in the middle of the field and shot a long shot which scored behind a totally surprised Luiz Paulo Alcântara. 0-5. The Dobsko SSA fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. PIAUÍ FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
