With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcelo Armani prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tuncay Cansever had several of the Rejunte de perros's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 16 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Marcelo Armani as he didn't even see the shot coming. Håkan Söderberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Gaizko, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 21st minute of the game Mathieu De Winter made a throw-in which Seyit Sözmen played forward. Ezequiel Ixaka took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Håkan Söderberg. Degerfors IF's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Tuncay Cansever made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Rejunte de perros's Thomás Barral sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Håkan Söderberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Borys Barys in the 68th minute of play forced Degerfors IF's goalkeeper Håkan Söderberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thomás Barral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Håkan Söderberg made a huge save. Michel Rosendahl got his second yellow card in the match during the 74th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Degerfors IF getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Håkan Söderberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Seyit Sözmen in the 77th minute. After 78 minutes, Fredrik Isak mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Degerfors IF and the Rejunte de perros players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fredrik Isak kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Rejunte de perros's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
