To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kaba Kent hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dida Paraense was the one to do the kick off. Adilson Alcântara was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sergio Montrel showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 55 minute of play. In the 58th minute, Nuno de Andrade fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Adilson Alcântara, passed just outside the right post. After having played for 89 minutes, Ronaldo Maradona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Noroeste Paulista's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronaldo Maradona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. S.F.'s Adilson Alcântara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save S.F. from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ronaldo Maradona in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adilson Alcântara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Noroeste Paulista's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
