The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Gabriel Vinhas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pauli Palander. Vlashers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gabriel Vinhas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 8 minutes into the match, Vlashers's goalkeeper Pauli Palander had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gabriel Vinhas. In the 13th minute of the game Dinu Moșanu made a throw-in which Petrică Dragu played forward. Gabriel Vinhas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pauli Palander having to make a save. Pauli Palander made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Gabriel Vinhas sent off a good shot on target. In the 30th minute, Eduard Dumitrana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Juarês Pontes hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Gabriel Vinhas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pauli Palander read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by Vlashers's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gabriel Vinhas was slow to take the kick. During this time Relyn Futebol Clube's players had a chance to rest. Pauli Palander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Vinhas in the 42nd minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gabriel Vinhas was the one to do the kick off.
