Mike Cai fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Messias having to interfere. Virgil Olariu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radowit Klawki in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Omar Arnaldo in the 26th minute of play forced Paralia Athens's goalkeeper Virgil Olariu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Virgil Olariu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radowit Klawki, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute.
