The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Velez-Malaga's Angelino Lawrence played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabricio Quintan in the 3rd minute of play. 6 minutes into the game, Dorel Crivoi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Angelino Lawrence was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Galand FC's Ricardo Rios got a free kick in the 10th minute. 17 minutes into the game, Galand FC's Teppo Kallioniemi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Angelino Lawrence made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 23 minutes into the match, Dorel Crivoi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Angelino Lawrence. Velez-Malaga's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dorel Crivoi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. If Teppo Kallioniemi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute, Emeterio Aznar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eemeli Myllylä was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 31st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. A collision led to Galand FC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Benjamin Vahalahti hit a great ball. With a little luck, Galand FC's Kim Hänninen got control of the ball when Crescencio Guijarro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Galand FC's Kim Hänninen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Galand FC from getting a goal against them. Velez-Malaga were furious when Zachariasz Haskiewicz was red carded, 40 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Eemeli Myllylä shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Angelino Lawrence made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fabricio Quintan in the 54th minute. If Odilon Bacete had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benjamin Vahalahti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fabricio Quintan hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Crescencio Guijarro struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Kim Hänninen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Velez-Malaga. Velez-Malaga's Angelino Lawrence proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Velez-Malaga from getting a goal against them. In the 65th minute, Dorel Crivoi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Galand FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. If Päiviö Koivunen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teppo Kallioniemi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st minute, Teppo Kallioniemi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teppo Kallioniemi in the 74th minute of play forced Velez-Malaga's goalkeeper Angelino Lawrence to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angelino Lawrence showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorel Crivoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. With his leg Angelino Lawrence managed to avoid a goal in the 77thth minute, when Galand FC's Fabricio Quintan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Fabricio Quintan put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Angelino Lawrence. When Ricardo Rios fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galand FC's protests and gave Ricardo Rios a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Velez-Malaga booed when Galand FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Rios didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kerim Tokgöz in the 81st minute of play forced Galand FC's goalkeeper Kim Hänninen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 83 minutes into the game, Teppo Kallioniemi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Angelino Lawrence. Teppo Kallioniemi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. After a rather tough play, Velez-Malaga's Emeterio Aznar got a free kick in the 86th minute. Xian Vacas hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Angelino Lawrence made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Fabricio Quintan sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Velez-Malaga defense, Fabricio Quintan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Angelino Lawrence. The Velez-Malaga fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Angelino Lawrence should have stopped the shot. Crescencio Guijarro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Kim Hänninen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Galand FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
