Lino Lidon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pipis Karapatakis in the 5th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pipis Karapatakis in the 7th minute of play forced Temperley's goalkeeper Lino Lidon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 8th minute of the game. One of Temperley:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Grêmio FBPA:s goal. Lino Lidon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pipis Karapatakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Orlando Silvino charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Orlando Silvino the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Grêmio FBPA booed when Temperley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Orlando Silvino didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute Pipis Karapatakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lino Lidon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Timoteo Fernandes kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Filiph Biörling received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Lino Lidon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lino Lidon didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Grêmio FBPA's Pipis Karapatakis shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-2 in the ordered_time% minute. When Orlando Silvino was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 26 minutes had been played. In the 26th minute, Orlando Silvino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lino Lidon came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Grêmio FBPA's Pipis Karapatakis. But to his dismay, Pipis Karapatakis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 37th minute, Pipis Karapatakis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lino Lidon was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. 42 minutes into the match, Grêmio FBPA's Pipis Karapatakis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lino Lidon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lino Lidon came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Grêmio FBPA's Pipis Karapatakis. But to his dismay, Pipis Karapatakis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. After the first half Grêmio FBPA were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Elpidio Faro to strike the kick off in the second half. Jardel Sanches made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermengildo Orkatz in the 53rd minute of play. Lino Lidon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pipis Karapatakis, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Pipis Karapatakis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Lino Lidon made a huge save. Temperley:s Lino Lidon showed great skill when he stopped Pipis Karapatakis:s penalty. Temperley's Ildefonso Richie was substituted for Gualterio Lopez. Temperley made a substitution. Godfredo Sugoi replaced Hermengildo Orkatz. Grêmio FBPA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Darío Pereyra in the 62nd minute. A nice corner shot did that Darío Pereyra got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Lino Lidon quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Pipis Karapatakis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jardel Sanches showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Godfredo Sugoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Temperley's Lino Lidon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Temperley from getting a goal against them. The score was 0-7 after a penalty in the 72nd minute, where Grêmio FBPA:s Pipis Karapatakis tricked Temperley:s Lino Lidon with a difficult ball by the left post. Grêmio FBPA made a substitution. Eriberto Berger replaced Pipis Karapatakis. A collision led to Temperley getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Godfredo Sugoi hit a great ball. Grêmio FBPA's Filiph Biörling got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eriberto Berger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Lino Lidon made a huge save. Eriberto Berger might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lino Lidon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eriberto Berger ran back to his position shaking his head. Lino Lidon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eriberto Berger in the 80th minute. Nikos Nentopoulos kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. In the 88thth minute of the game Godfredo Sugoi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grêmio FBPA's Jardel Sanches was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 90th minute, Grêmio FBPA's Eriberto Berger ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lino Lidon. Lino Lidon yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-9. If Eriberto Berger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jardel Sanches showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elpidio Faro, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Ildefonso Richie made in the 99th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Grêmio FBPA's Kaká Rot. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Grêmio FBPA had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
