An unexpectedly hard shot by Brayden McPaul in the 3rd minute of play forced Gortaty's goalkeeper Arturo Boruc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 4 minutes into the match, Ryan Giggs notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Gortaty's Arturo Boruc. Arturo Boruc was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 7th minute, Rikard Bergdal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arturo Boruc was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by Gortaty's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Hasan Hüseyin Başol was slow to take the kick. During this time Emotep SK's players had a chance to rest. Gencer Hüdayioğlu was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. If Czeslaw Skrzypiec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gortaty's Arturo Boruc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gencer Hüdayioğlu in the 33rd minute of play. After having played for 34 minutes, Brayden McPaul managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Emotep SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brayden McPaul was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arturo Boruc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ryan Giggs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emotep SK's Fernanco Muslera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Emotep SK from getting a goal against them. In the 39th minute, Brayden McPaul ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arturo Boruc was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Arturo Boruc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brayden McPaul in the 43rd minute of play. Sebastian Kasiewski hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After 47 minutes, Gustaw Basaik mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gortaty and the Emotep SK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 47th match minute, Gortaty was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustaw Basaik to maneuver through the defense. Arturo Boruc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gencer Hüdayioğlu in the 48th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Brayden McPaul was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Gortaty's zone, Gencer Hüdayioğlu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arturo Boruc came out of the goal and Gencer Hüdayioğlu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Emotep SK's Brayden McPaul in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gortaty's goalie prevented a goal. A hard shot 54 in the game by Brayden McPaul from a close distance when the talented Arturo Boruc managed to make a qualified save. Gortaty's players were relieved. Iwo Mleczewski charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Iwo Mleczewski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Gortaty getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Iwo Mleczewski hit a great ball. In the 57th match minute, Gortaty was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Czeslaw Skrzypiec to maneuver through the defense. Ryan Giggs might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arturo Boruc. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ryan Giggs ran back to his position shaking his head. Ryan Giggs could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Arturo Boruc made a huge save. Arturo Boruc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gencer Hüdayioğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aleksander Bykowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernanco Muslera having to interfere. Gortaty's Arturo Boruc proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Gortaty from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Brayden McPaul in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arturo Boruc prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sebastian Kasiewski hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Brayden McPaul scored 0-5 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arturo Boruc, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Arturo Boruc made an important save on a dangerous shot by Brayden McPaul in the 72nd minute. After 73 minutes, Sebastian Kasiewski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gortaty and the Emotep SK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sebastian Kasiewski kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Arturo Boruc made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Brayden McPaul sent off a good shot on target. Rikard Bergdal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arturo Boruc having to interfere. Emotep SK's Salih Çapan was substituted for Gencer Hüdayioğlu. Arturo Boruc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rikard Bergdal, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Rikard Bergdal succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-6 in the 88th playminute. The supporters of Emotep SK booed when Gortaty was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustaw Basaik didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Salih Çapan in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arturo Boruc saved Gortaty from getting behind. In the 93rd minute, Ryan Giggs reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Arturo Boruc. The goal made the score 0-7. With a little luck, Gortaty's Arturo Boruc got control of the ball when Ryan Giggs tried to sneak it across the goal line. Emotep SK's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
