Arturo Boruc breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Iván Vila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aleksander Bykowski to make the kick off. Barea Martinez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aleksander Bykowski in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, Czeslaw Skrzypiec left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gortaty fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. Jonathan Dissels fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arturo Boruc having to interfere. Arturo Boruc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iván Vila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
