The supporters of Lopidato FC booed when LeRoeulx was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brent Kersselaers didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilliam Keuppens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yannik Meersmans in the 11th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Yannik Meersmans managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lopidato FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Yannik Meersmans was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilliam Keuppens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Renaud Van der Vloedt fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lopidato FC's protests and gave Renaud Van der Vloedt a yellow card for diving instead. Renaud Van der Vloedt hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Maximiliano Mundo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charlie Geerts, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. A collision led to Lopidato FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Xander-Paul Kerselaers hit a great ball. After having played for 20 minutes, Dominic Cornelis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lopidato FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dominic Cornelis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gilliam Keuppens came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Lopidato FC's Herman De Strijcker. But to his dismay, Herman De Strijcker quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Maximiliano Mundo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jabbar De Roeulx in the 25th minute. After 25 played minutes Lopidato FC got a freekick which was hit by Xander-Paul Kerselaers. Jabbar De Roeulx could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Maximiliano Mundo made a huge save. Herman De Strijcker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilliam Keuppens having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Herman De Strijcker made the kick off in the second half. LeRoeulx's Gilliam Keuppens proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save LeRoeulx from getting a goal against them. If Yannik Meersmans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Charlie Geerts might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maximiliano Mundo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dominic Cornelis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Gilliam Keuppens made a huge save. When Senne Uytterhoeven fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LeRoeulx's protests and gave Senne Uytterhoeven a yellow card for diving instead. After 85 played minutes LeRoeulx got a freekick which was hit by Senne Uytterhoeven. Lopidato FC's Stephen Smidts was substituted for Dominic Cornelis. After 87 played minutes LeRoeulx got a freekick which was hit by Senne Uytterhoeven. The Lopidato FC fans' excitement grew in the 89th match minute when Lopidato FC's Stephen Smidts looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Lopidato FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
