The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elias Abad got free with Joel Aguiar in the 2nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 6 minutes into the match, Calamardo's Elias Abad sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joel Aguiar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Elias Abad took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joel Aguiar. Joel Aguiar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Luís Fabiano Freire scored 1-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tiburcio Furman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Eliézer Aparecido fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiburcio Furman having to interfere. After 24 played minutes Calamardo got a freekick which was hit by Lino Txanton. Anier Frichoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joel Aguiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anier Frichoso in the 28th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, José Pedro Carvalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Anier Frichoso came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Calamardo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anier Frichoso couldn't finish the play. Elias Abad could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Joel Aguiar made a huge save. Joel Aguiar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elias Abad in the 36th minute of play. When the match clock showed 40 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Anier Frichoso sped through FLA MQ BRASIL's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Joel Aguiar. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elias Abad made a kick off. Jairo Chepe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Joel Aguiar having to make a save. Elias Abad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anier Frichoso scored 3-1 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joel Aguiar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 62ndth minute of the game Elias Abad who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FLA MQ BRASIL's Joel Aguiar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Abel Neron hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luís Fabiano Freire in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tiburcio Furman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 64 minutes, Luís Fabiano Freire made it 3-2 with a short kick to the right side. Calamardo's Tiburcio Furman tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Fabiano Freire in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tiburcio Furman saved Calamardo from getting behind. FLA MQ BRASIL's Joel Aguiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elias Abad in the 69th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FLA MQ BRASIL's zone, Elias Abad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joel Aguiar came out of the goal and Elias Abad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Calamardo made a substitution. Ladislao Gaxan replaced Cleto Lluterio. Bernardo Rosado's late challenge caught a Calamardo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernardo Rosado helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to FLA MQ BRASIL getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Bernardo Rosado hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in FLA MQ BRASIL's zone, Anier Frichoso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joel Aguiar came out of the goal and Anier Frichoso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joel Aguiar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anier Frichoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. When Eliézer Aparecido fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FLA MQ BRASIL's protests and gave Eliézer Aparecido a yellow card for diving instead. In the 78th match minute, FLA MQ BRASIL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliézer Aparecido to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind FLA MQ BRASIL's goalkeeper Joel Aguiar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. There was no doubt that Calamardo were the better team. Calamardo's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
