In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kwaski Sandomierz's goalkeeper Barbaros Sargan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Igor Zambujal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tạ Bunk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Barbaros Sargan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pancho Roca in the 15th minute. In the 19th minute of the game Lúkas Pīlēns made a throw-in which Tạ Bunk played forward. In the 22ndth minute of the game Olgierd Walkowski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AJAX's Igor Zambujal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. AJAX's Igor Zambujal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tạ Bunk in the 24th minute of play. Barbaros Sargan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danilo Fiúza, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Igor Zambujal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaw Zembrzuski in the 29th minute of play. Igor Zambujal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Olgierd Walkowski went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 37th minute, Pancho Roca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Barbaros Sargan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Tạ Bunk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Igor Zambujal having to interfere. In the 41st minute Tạ Bunk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Zambujal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pancho Roca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Barbaros Sargan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Pancho Roca made the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Olgierd Walkowski took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Igor Zambujal to make any attempt to save it. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Pancho Roca managed to get in a good position for a shot. AJAX's supporters rose to their feet, but Pancho Roca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Barbaros Sargan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Kwaski Sandomierz booed when AJAX was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mikolaj Filipkowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Igor Kosiorek got free with Igor Zambujal in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. AJAX's Igor Zambujal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jordan Henderson in the 69th minute of play. Igor Zambujal made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Tạ Bunk sent off a good shot on target. Igor Zambujal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tạ Bunk's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. 71 minutes into the game, Jordan Henderson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Igor Zambujal. Jordan Henderson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Maciej Jankowski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Barbaros Sargan having to make a save. The Kwaski Sandomierz supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Kwaski Sandomierz would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
