The audience thought a goal was coming when Cresitobalo Rilo got free with Emil Gabor in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Carlos Zambrano got a throw-in 13 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Emanuele Morelli. Gabon Salantes kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After 18 played minutes Ninjas in Pyjamas got a freekick which was hit by Laurențiu Loghin. Eric Păvăloae sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cusco FC's goalkeeper Johan Schönberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ninjas in Pyjamas's Eric Păvăloae got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eric Păvăloae blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Johan Schönberg having to make a save. Johan Schönberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric Păvăloae in the 30th minute of the match. Eric Păvăloae might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Johan Schönberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eric Păvăloae ran back to his position shaking his head. Johan Schönberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric Păvăloae in the 32nd minute of the match. Andrei Cosor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eric Păvăloae in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Johan Schönberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cresitobalo Rilo to make the kick off. Inko Maquibar's late challenge caught a Ninjas in Pyjamas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Inko Maquibar helped the player get up and apologised. In the 53rd minute, Inko Maquibar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Păvăloae in the 54th minute of play forced Cusco FC's goalkeeper Johan Schönberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nayely Basterra during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After having played for 93 minutes, Eric Păvăloae managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ninjas in Pyjamas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eric Păvăloae was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle, Cusco FC could leave the field as winners, despite Ninjas in Pyjamas having more of the ball for most of the match.
