After 20 minutes Altos Gatos FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sven-Olof Lilja who took care of the corner kick. A very nice done corner allowed Albrecht Bosbach to score against Christian Kiliz in Altos Gatos FC's goal. 1-2 after 20 minutes. In the 30th minute of the match SSV Ulm 1846 got a corner. Altos Gatos FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sven-Olof Lilja ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led SSV Ulm 1846's Sven-Olof Lilja to fire away a dangerous shot which Christian Kiliz despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Liev Tolstoy in the 32nd minute of play forced SSV Ulm 1846's goalkeeper Kryspin Cupial to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kryspin Cupial showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelio Duarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. The audience was convinced that Aurelio Duarte's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kryspin Cupial was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. A sloppy throw-in by Casimiro Toli in the 41st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by SSV Ulm 1846's Afonso Silveira. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Don Merlot in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christian Kiliz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 57 minutes into the match, Niclas Monschke notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Altos Gatos FC's Christian Kiliz. Christian Kiliz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Javier Santo got free with Kryspin Cupial in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
