Gunnar Jakobsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Harry Higuita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Higinio Beltza, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Gunnar Jakobsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Errikos Tsagaris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to FK Crvena Zvezda getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Andreas Giöck hit a great ball. You Lei Zheng kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Sune Svartengren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Gunnar Jakobsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sune Svartengren in the 21st minute of play forced FK Crvena Zvezda's goalkeeper Gunnar Jakobsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute Sune Svartengren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gunnar Jakobsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aro FC were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after FK Crvena Zvezda's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Errikos Tsagaris took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Sven-Arne Berglund managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind FK Crvena Zvezda's goalkeeper Gunnar Jakobsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. FK Crvena Zvezda's Gunnar Jakobsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sune Svartengren in the 40th minute of play. After 45 minutes of play, Aro FC's Errikos Tsagaris made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gunnar Jakobsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Sune Svartengren's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 53rdth minute, Gunnar Jakobsson skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 54th minute, Sandu Musteatã made a precise shot to the right of Gunnar Jakobsson. FK Crvena Zvezda's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Sandu Musteatã succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-6 in the 65th playminute. 69 minutes into the match, FK Crvena Zvezda's goalkeeper Gunnar Jakobsson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sune Svartengren. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by FK Crvena Zvezda's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Errikos Tsagaris was slow to take the kick. During this time Aro FC's players had a chance to rest. Aro FC's Errikos Tsagaris was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gunnar Jakobsson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Sune Svartengren struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Gunnar Jakobsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Aro FC. Sandu Musteatã kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Claes Bratt charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Claes Bratt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 80th minute, Claes Bratt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 85 minutes into the match, Sune Svartengren notched a goal, 0-7, to the right of FK Crvena Zvezda's Gunnar Jakobsson. Gunnar Jakobsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Sune Svartengren took a quick shot and it went in 0-8 without a chance for Gunnar Jakobsson to make any attempt to save it. In the 92nd minute, Aro FC's Sune Svartengren dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-9. Sune Svartengren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Gunnar Jakobsson made a huge save. Aro FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
