Harry Higuita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hamilton Carvalhal, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Aro FC's Harry Higuita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Klaus Adolphi in the 17th minute of play. FV Wienerwald's Marcel Mallinger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save FV Wienerwald from getting a goal against them. After taking down the ball on FV Wienerwald's corner Andreas Trautermann fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Harry Higuita quite easily take care of the ball. Hamilton Carvalhal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Harry Higuita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd minute Felix Hanschirik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harry Higuita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The FV Wienerwald fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when FV Wienerwald's Felix Hanschirik looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Harry Higuita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamilton Carvalhal in the 37th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, FV Wienerwald's goal looked a bit too open when Sandu Musteatã came free, but Marcel Mallinger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Per Nienhaus came free with the goalkeeper in the 75th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Harry Higuita could save by the left post.
